Qualifications

  • Must have accounting experience, preferably in construction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and owners is essential.
  • Experience with AIA documents, lien waivers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with monthly owner billings.
  • Review documents for payments and financial reviews.
  • Coordinate project costs from invoice to payment.
  • Manage subcontractor requirements, including insurance.
  • Support contracts, change orders, logs, and close-outs.

Overview

Project Accountant – Located in Clearwater, FL, with offices in Birmingham and Fairhope, Alabama. Park & Eleazer Construction is a growing company specializing in commercial construction with a high end residential/multifamily division.

What you will be doing
  • Assist the Project Manager in creation and delivery of monthly owner billings
  • Review and prepare documents required for timely payment of billing and invoices, supporting project financial reviews and communicating cost overruns to the appropriate functions
  • Coordinate all project costs from invoice to payment
  • Manage all subcontractor requirements including insurance and releases
  • Assist Project Manager with contracts, change orders, NTO log and close outs
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with various team members including the Project Management Team, the Accounting Team, Subcontractors, Owners, Architects and other business partners
