Forces Recruitment Solutions Group Ltd is seeking a Planner for a construction/engineering environment in the UK. The role focuses on preparing and maintaining project programmes, supporting project teams, and ensuring accurate schedule updates and forecasts.

Experience with Microsoft Project is essential, along with an understanding of construction sequencing and programme management. UK Security Clearance (SC/DV) is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Essential: Relevant planning experience within the construction, engineering or infrastructure sector.
• Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, including logic links, baselines and progress updates.
• Essential: Good understanding of project delivery, programme management and construction sequencing.
• Essential: Experience producing and updating project programmes, identifying critical paths and monitoring progress.
• Essential: Clear communication and ability to work with project teams and stakeholders.
• Essential: Eligible for, or holding, UK Security Clearance (SC / DV).
• Desirable: Previous experience in defence or secure environments.
• Desirable: NEC contract knowledge or APMP/CIOB involvement.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain project programmes.
• Identify and review critical path activities, milestones and dependencies.
• Support recovery and mitigation plans for delays or risks.
• Prepare tender and bid programmes with colleagues.
• Translate construction methods and delivery sequences.
• Identify programme risks, assumptions and constraints during bid development.
• Provide programme information for tender submissions and attend programme discussions.
• Maintain programme reporting in line with standards and templates.
• Produce concise programme updates showing progress.
• Maintain milestone trackers and programme update records.
• Check programme logic and progress information for inconsistencies.
• Contribute to programme risk reviews.
• Identify schedule risks, opportunities and dependencies.
• Support assessment of the programme impact of changes and delays.
• Act as planning contact for allocated projects and escalate issues.
• Support programme review meetings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.
