Job description

We’re currently working in partnership with a highly respected, family-owned construction contractor with an annual turnover of £20 million, who are looking for a Construction Planner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the North West. You will initially be working on a multi-million-pound healthcare project, with a broader pipeline of exciting work ahead.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project programmes
  2. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget
  3. Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers
  4. Produce and present progress reports and forecasts for stakeholders
  5. Utilise planning software (MS Project) to manage timelines and resources
  6. Work closely with estimators to align time and cost planning
  7. Contribute to tender programmes and bid submissions
  8. Apply a sound understanding of the full construction process throughout

About You:

  1. Previous experience in a planning role within the construction industry
  2. Strong working knowledge of planning software and construction methodology
  3. Excellent communication and coordination skills
