MCG Construction are representing a well-established construction firm, in their search for an experienced Planner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a respected company that specialises in high-quality refurbishment and new-build projects across multiple sectors.

Role Overview:

As a Planner, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of projects by developing and managing detailed construction programmes. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and update construction programmes throughout project lifecycles.

  • Liaise with project teams, site managers, and stakeholders to align schedules and resolve planning issues.

  • Monitor progress, track key milestones, and adjust schedules as necessary.

  • Identify and mitigate potential delays and risks to project timelines.

  • Provide detailed progress reports and planning strategies to senior management.

  • Use planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project to create accurate project schedules.

  • Assist in the pre-construction phase, ensuring realistic programme expectations are set.

  • Support tender planning, providing insight and recommendations on project feasibility.

What You'll Need:
  • Proven experience as a Planner within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with site teams, stakeholders, and senior management.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing project risks.

  • A background in refurbishment, fit-out, or new-build projects is advantageous.

  • A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Planning, or a related field.
