We also give back to our communities through our Collectively program, which includes matched-funding, paid volunteering time, and charitable donations.

About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client-critical work on major UK and European projects. Our embedded teams support Hinkley Point C (a new build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), develop SMR (Small Modular Reactor) technologies, and work towards building Poland's first nuclear power station.

The Construction Planner will support the construction lead planner in developing and progressing the integrated level 5 schedule encompassing the full MEH scope. The level 5 schedule reflects interfaces with other tier 1 partners to ensure full integration.

The Construction Planner will be responsible for onsite planning of installation activities and associated data, including governance, management, and updating of MEH construction schedules.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate, design, test, and commission detailed construction schedules within the MEH phase.
  • Consider all aspects of integrated mechanical, electrical, and HVAC (MEH) planning for works on the Hinkley Point C project, including conducting integrated schedule reviews to develop optimized construction delivery sequences and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Integrate construction activities with all HPC programmes within the MEH schedules to optimize planning. Address interfaces at various levels. Support the overall project integrated works schedule (IWS) and the 16-week look-ahead process to facilitate work flow and schedule adherence.

The Construction Planner should have knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction processes and their integration. Specific requirements include:

  • A construction trade or OND/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in Construction Management or related field; professional membership of RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, CIBSE, or demonstrable experience based on previous projects is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of programme progress, forecasting, and planning.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of construction methods, plant, equipment, and labor requirements.
  • Basic understanding of estimating principles.
