Job description

We are seeking an experienced Planner located in the east of England to join our Tier 1 construction client, focusing on high-profile, technically complex projects across multiple sectors.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a talented, diverse, and supportive team.

Responsibilities as a Planner:

  1. Manage and report on project progress, understanding key performance indicators, project controls, and metrics.
  2. Ensure full integration of design and procurement elements of programmes with construction.
  3. Produce integrated tender programmes, logistic plans, method statements, and present proposals at settlement meetings.
  4. Review programme effectiveness of changes, advise on delay issues, and manage risk.
  5. Support multiple projects, including live and tender projects, aiming for successful completion with minimal supervision.
  6. Guide and advise other Planners.
  7. Mentor and provide planning support across the business, including trainee planners.

Requirements for a Planner:

  1. Experience working on large-budget construction developments or large multi-scheme projects, including Healthcare, Education, or MOJ sectors.
  2. Confident communicator with experience liaising with diverse clients.
  3. Familiarity with construction contracts like NEC 3 and performance measurement techniques such as Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Analysis, and KPIs.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management software.
  5. Ability to motivate teams to high performance.
  6. Highly organized with strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
