We offer an exciting range of opportunities to develop your career within a supportive and diverse team who always strive to do the right thing for our people, clients and communities.

People are our greatest asset, and we offer a competitive package to retain and attract the best talent.

In addition to the benefits you’d expect, UK employees also receive free single medical cover and digital GP service, family-friendly benefits such as enhanced parental leave pay and free membership of employee assistance and parental programmes, plus reimbursement towards relevant professional development and memberships. We also give back to our communities through our Collectively program which incorporates matched-funding, paid volunteering time and charitable donations.

About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering critical works for major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams support Hinkley Point C (a new build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), develop SMR (Small Modular Reactor) technologies, and work towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

The Construction Planner will support the construction lead planner in developing and progressing the integrated level 5 schedule encompassing the full MEH scope. The schedule reflects interfaces with other tier 1 partners to ensure full integration.

The Construction Planner will be responsible for onsite planning of installation activities and managing related data, including governance, management, and updates of MEH construction schedules.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, integrate, design, test, and commission detailed construction schedules within the MEH phase.
  2. Consider all aspects of integrated mechanical, electrical, and HVAC (MEH) planning for works on the Hinkley Point C project. Conduct schedule reviews to develop detailed, optimized construction delivery sequences and resource-loaded schedules.
  3. Integrate construction activities with all HPC programmes within the MEH schedules to optimize planning. Address interfaces to support the overall project schedule (IWS) and the 16-week lookahead process to facilitate work flow and schedule adherence.

The Construction Planner should have knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction processes and their integration. Specific qualifications and experience include:

  • A construction trade or OND/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is desirable; professional membership of RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or CIBSE is preferred, or demonstrable experience from previous projects.
  • Deep knowledge of programme progress, forecasting, and planning.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of planning, programming, and progress monitoring methods.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, plant, equipment, and labor requirements.
  • Basic understanding of estimating principles.
