Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Planner / Planning Manager to join a leading building & civil engineering contractor based in Co. Down.

Reporting to the Senior Management team, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Supporting the planning works stream for the development of tender and contract programmes to meet client objectives.
2. Reflecting the optimum sequence to deliver projects or work sections.
3. Contributing to the development of detailed programmes and control methods to monitor progress and productivity on site.
4. Implementing systems to record works in accordance with progress reporting procedures.
5. Monitoring progress and providing feedback to Senior Management.
6. Working with Project Managers to develop project programmes, with knowledge of critical path, float, risk, and opportunities.
7. Assisting with and pricing preliminaries on tenders, including preparing packages for temporary works.
8. Producing methodologies for tenders, including site logistics and written submissions.
9. Demonstrating post-qualification experience on a commercial construction site.
10. Having knowledge or awareness of specialist planning software such as ASTA Powerproject, Primavera P6, or MSP (Microsoft Project).
11. Possessing a minimum of 3 years' planning experience.
