Job Description:

Working with a Top Regional Law Firm recruiting for a Construction Paralegal in Colchester.

The firm has a proven track record of training and developing legal professionals, helping paralegals become trainees, and trainees evolve into fully qualified solicitors - and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing construction-related legal matters, including disputes, contract negotiations, and documentation.
  • Provide support to senior solicitors in preparing and reviewing legal documents and contracts.
  • Conduct legal research on construction law topics, providing insights and reports as needed.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and third parties to provide updates and support as required.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining case files and managing deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal briefs and court submissions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Have completed a law degree (or equivalent) and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in construction law.
  • Previous completion of the LPC or SQE is desirable but not essential.
  • Be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take on responsibility.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show the ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure, with a keen attention to deadlines.
  • Be highly motivated to grow and develop within a supportive legal environment.
