Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Construction Paralegal to join a busy construction department within a national, Legal 500-ranked firm. You will support experienced solicitors on a varied caseload and gain exposure to construction disputes, adjudications, and regulatory matters.

Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background, interest in construction law, excellent drafting and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background to undergraduate level; LPC/SQE 1 preferable but not essential.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confident working collaboratively with solicitors, partners and other fee earners.

Responsibilities

• Assist with an established and varied caseload in construction disputes and regulatory matters.
• Support matters involving adjudications, arbitrations, defects and building safety.
• Work closely with experienced solicitors and partners to develop legal skills.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Paralegal to join a busy construction department within a national and highly regarded Legal 500-ranked firm.

This role is ideal for a hard-working individual with an interest in construction law, looking to gain valuable experience within a respected and established team. Previous litigation paralegal experience is welcome but not essential, and the role offers excellent exposure to complex construction disputes, building safety matters and contentious work.

Working closely with experienced solicitors and partners, you'll assist with an established and varied caseload, supporting matters involving construction disputes, adjudications, arbitrations, defects, building safety, fire safety, remediation and regulatory issues. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills, gain valuable fee-earning experience and build a strong foundation for a future career in law.

About you:

• Strong academic background to undergraduate level, with LPC/SQE 1 preferable but not essential.


• Genuine interest in construction law and disputes.


• Proactive approach with the ability to demonstrate initiative.
