Job Description
This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, and excavators.
- $24 - $30 per hour starting wage.

Qualifications
Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Operate all heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Interact with construction laborers and crew members to facilitate equipment alignment, movement, and adjustments to meet grade specifications.
- Interact courteously and respectfully with the public; report any complaints.
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled or required.
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.
- Participate in routine maintenance.
- Practice workplace safety.
- Maintain inventory.
- Ensure access to houses and locations.
- Use equipment to level roads and ensure proper drainage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- 1-2 years of experience with construction tools and equipment such as air hammers, concrete saws, scaffolding, trench digging equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of operating front-end loaders, dozers, graders, excavators, and other heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of signals used to communicate with machinery operators.
- Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Ability to keep proprietary information confidential.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Ability to work various schedules, including nights, weekends, and regional travel.
