Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking a Buyer in the North West region to lead end-to-end procurement for construction materials and related services. You’ll drive value for money, develop clear specifications, and manage supplier relationships across Liverpool, St Helens, and Warrington.

The role requires a degree-level qualification with CIPS membership (or progress toward it), strong analytical and IT skills, and the ability to travel between regional offices and supplier sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in procurement/purchasing/supply chain, focused on construction materials/housing maintenance or builders' merchants.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
• Degree-level qualification with active CIPS membership or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement exercises, including RFIs, RFQs, ITTs and mini-competitions.
• Deliver procurement solutions across construction and maintenance materials, roofing, plumbing, electricals, and waste management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop specifications, evaluate bids, and support contract awards.
