WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As a Construction Materials Testing Technician in the Dover, DE office, you will play an integral role in our organization’s success. You will work independently and with our knowledgeable staff on various land development and construction projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting field observations at jobsites in the region.
  • Sampling and testing construction materials.
  • Preparing accurate daily logs of inspections and test results for materials such as soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
  • Communicating daily with the Project Manager or Operations Manager regarding project progress and other pertinent information from contractors.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must meet pre-employment requirements.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 60-80 pounds (samples, equipment).
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climates and terrains.
  • Attention to detail, safety compliance, and quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with tablets and MS Office programs.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools.
  • Willingness to learn to read and interpret plans, specifications, and manuals with training.

Hiring preference will be given to experienced technicians with verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
