Job summary

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick is seeking a Construction Manager to lead complex projects across the UK. You will drive HSE excellence, coordinate multi‑discipline teams and oversee on‑site delivery from planning through handover.

With experience on large engineering schemes such as power, water or energy infrastructure, you will ensure safe work, mentor staff and uphold quality standards while embracing smart working arrangements that allow up to 40% remote activity.

Qualifications

  • Experience on large-scale engineering construction projects such as power generation, water treatment, energy infrastructure, or nuclear decommissioning.
  • Relevant Degree qualification or equivalent training and suitable experience
  • Relevant professional accreditation (PM / Construction / Engineering)
  • Strong team leader, pro‑active and perform well under pressure
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher)

Responsibilities

  • Provides & demonstrate positive HSE Leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations
  • Lead, manage and motivate Project Construction Teams through implementation of best practice
  • Support the planning and execution of construction of a specific area on a day-to-day basis
