Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Construction Manager for a role on a large scale waste to energy build project in North London.

Ideal candidate will have trade background working on large scale power plant/heavy industrial projects with large scale mechanical installations. Role is a long term position and comes with excellent day rate and the client will cover lodge as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day construction site operations and subcontractor performance
  • Oversee installation and integration of major plant components, including boilers, turbines, piping, and supporting infrastructure
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, commissioning, and project management teams
  • Monitor schedule progress, cost control, and resource planning
  • Resolve technical challenges and drive site productivity
  • Lead by example with a hands-on, proactive management style

Experience/qualifications:

  • Proven background managing construction on large-scale power, energy, or WtE projects
  • Strong working knowledge of boilers, pressure systems, or thermal plants
  • Trade or technical background (mechanical, electrical, or process engineering preferred)
  • Track record of delivering projects in a live construction environment
  • SMSTS or equivalent site management certification
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
