Job Description:

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our Project & Programme Services team, overseeing the safe and successful delivery of complex construction projects.

Location: Aldermaston (minimum 3-4 days on-site per week)

Hours: 9-day fortnight pattern (Monday to Friday, alternating weeks)

Security Clearance: SC/DV Cleared

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multidisciplinary construction teams and coordinate stakeholders and suppliers
• Ensure all on-site installation activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and to high standards
• Contribute to project strategies, promote safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with CDM and health & safety regulations
• Monitor project deliverables and stakeholder expectations
• Lead H&S forums and initiatives during construction
• Oversee site logistics, activities, and resources
• Support project delivery through risk, change, schedule, and quality management principles
• Liaise with architects, surveyors, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Participate in design reviews, planning, and contract discussions
• Mentor junior team members and foster stakeholder relationships

Qualifications and Skills:

• OND, HND, Degree, or equivalent in construction, engineering, or related field
• Chartered or working towards membership in a recognized construction professional body
• Experience managing high-regulation, high-hazard projects, especially in nuclear industries
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and safety knowledge
• Proficient in site coordination, logistics, and compliance documentation
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Application Details:

This role follows a 9-day fortnight schedule, with work from Monday to Thursday (8.25 hours per day) during the second week, and Fridays off.
