Your Purpose

As a Construction Manager, you will lead construction delivery across major infrastructure schemes, ensuring buildability from the outset, optimizing delivery through planning and innovation, and managing teams to safely and efficiently deliver high-quality outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead construction activities across large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with programme strategy and milestones.
  • Drive safe, efficient, and high-quality construction methods, including offsite and industrialised techniques.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure constructability and reduce on-site time.
  • Develop construction phase plans, manage risks, and oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor performance, costs, and progress, working with planners and cost managers to forecast and report.
  • Facilitate project rehearsals and activity planning to optimize sequencing and identify constraints.
  • Support commissioning and asset handover to Anglian Water Operations.
  • Lead and develop construction teams, ensuring performance aligns with project goals and Alliance values.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement by adopting new construction techniques and standard approaches.

About You

You will be an experienced construction professional capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex infrastructure projects from planning to handover.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale construction projects (£20m+), preferably in water or utilities sectors.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage stakeholders and drive performance.
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, buildability, and delivery assurance.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards, with a commitment to safe practices.
  • Commercial awareness, including cost management, risk mitigation, and change control.
  • Experience with digital project tools and planning systems.
  • A relevant construction qualification and a track record of managing complex infrastructure schemes.
  • Experience with modern construction techniques and innovation adoption is highly valued.
