Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for Construction Manager Large Projects. You will support the tendering team by developing construction execution strategies, cost estimates, and schedules for Large EPC projects across energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methodologies, equipment requirements, labour productivity, and subcontractor management

Location: (Remote), with some travel to Birmingham and other sites

How you'll make an impact:

  • Provide construction methodology input during the bid and proposal stage.
  • Prepare accurate construction cost estimates including labor, equipment, and subcontractor elements.
  • Develop preliminary execution plans and project schedules to support bidding strategies.
  • Review tender documents and identify construction risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to align construction requirements.
  • Support bid presentations and negotiations with clients, ensuring clarity of construction approach.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in construction execution within EPC projects, with at least 2 years in a tendering, estimating, or planning role.
  • Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary construction methods and sequencing.
  • Competency in estimating tools, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to work under tender deadlines.
