North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a full-time Construction Manager for our team in Birmingham, AL.

We are a dynamic subsidiary of Fives North American Combustion and the Fives Group, with over five decades of experience in innovative engineering, fabrication, and construction in industrial thermal processes. Our services include designing and constructing furnaces, retrofits, upgrades, and providing full lifecycle support for industrial equipment.

Your role will include:

  • Overseeing company superintendents.
  • Planning, organizing, and managing operations on job sites.
  • Managing construction projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, and supervision.
  • Developing work procedures and overseeing quality control.
  • Assisting in project cost control and scheduling.
  • Supporting sales and business development efforts.
  • Resolving operational issues and coordinating with other departments.
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Determining labor needs, recruiting, and dispatching workers.
  • Coordinating materials procurement and logistics.
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 70%.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer in industrial or commercial projects.
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to Birmingham, Alabama.
  • Knowledge of thermal processes and refractory work.
  • Proficiency in construction scheduling software such as MS Project.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • CPM or PMP certification preferred.
