RHL Recruitment seeks a Construction Manager for Doncaster, overseeing fuel/petrochemical site construction activities. You will lead contractors, enforce safe systems of work, and ensure work aligns with approved plans and schedules in a high-hazard environment.

Responsibilities include permit management, safety leadership, coordinating interfaces with Operations, pre-commissioning and commissioning, plus reporting progress weekly.

Qualifications

• Recognised site-safety qualification (SMSTS or NEBOSH).
• Extensive experience leading construction on operational industrial sites.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate multidisciplinary activities.
• Experience with PTW, SSOW, RAMS and safe isolation procedures.
• Full UK driving licence; aviation-fuel infrastructure experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Act as day-to-day site representative directing contractors to deliver safely and per scope.
• Provide visible safety leadership ensuring compliance with the Worksite HSE Plan and RAMS.
• Act as Permit Requester/Originator on Gemsoft and monitor permit conditions.
• Coordinate permits, isolations, SIMOPS and interfaces with site Operations.
• Direct and intervene in contractor activities, stopping unsafe work when required.
• Ensure construction aligns with Scope of Work and AFC drawings; escalate changes.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity and progress; report risks to PM.
• Coordinate interfaces with Operations, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Manage completion, snagging and handover with documentation for acceptance.
• Prepare and submit a weekly construction progress report covering HSSE, progress and risks.
