As a result, alongside several consortium partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by bp (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar and Cleveland.
What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will:
• Knowing what safety excellence looks like and communicate safety with passion and credibility in order to inspire, motivate and lead the project team to achieve the vision;
• Fostering a continuous improvement culture by actively seeking input from all members of the project team and encouraging them to implement safety
improvements;
• Actively engaging with the customer to understand and deliver their key sustainability objectives;
• Promoting Sustainable Solutions around all operations, particularly those related to efficient management of Waste, Energy and Water;
• Leading effective Community Engagement Plans and Skills Programmes where required.
