Job description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Manager with a background in photovoltaic (PV) systems. While no specific megawatt (MW) experience is required, expertise in site supervision is essential. This role will involve travel across Northern Europe, including Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, to oversee various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Supervise site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Provide regular updates to management and report on project progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Travel across Northern Europe to supervise projects, ensuring effective communication and oversight.

Project Details:

  • UK Projects: Two projects are set to commence in April, with three additional projects in the pipeline.
  • Travel Requirements: Candidates must be UK-based to avoid visa issues and minimise travel time. Typical trips to Europe will last one week, with at least two weeks' notice for scheduling.
  • Expenses Covered: A generous travel policy is in place, including accommodation and meal allowances (up to £100 per dinner).

Company & Growth Potential:

Join a dynamic company with a team of 8 to 10 Construction Managers across Europe. We offer strong progression opportunities; for instance, Jose, the hiring manager, started as a Commissioning Specialist and now leads a team of six Construction Managers.

Compensation & Status:

  • Salary range: £36,000 - £40,000.
  • One Construction Manager role is approved, pending final confirmation from the Director of Operations (salary and purchase order to be confirmed). A second CM position may also become available.

Benefits:

  • Stability and career growth within a thriving organisation.
  • Opportunity to work on multiple international projects, expanding your expertise and network.
