Construction Manager

Opportunity for a Construction Manager in Rail Division

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Manager to lead our Civils team within the Rail Division. The role involves managing various civils projects, from minor drainage installations to major infrastructure projects. The position is based in our Aylesford office and involves working on exciting projects for major clients in the rail and water industries, both within and outside rail infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage Network Rail and related infrastructure contracts, ensuring KPIs are met.
2. Liaise with clients and represent CML at project meetings.
3. Collaborate with Works Delivery Managers to plan and resource daily work activities.
4. Oversee and drive a robust program of works, ensuring effective planning and resourcing.
5. Review estimates and final accounts with the Commercial team, analyzing trends and reporting on performance.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to ensure competent execution of work, including temporary works.
7. Manage the front-end design process to meet client expectations and project milestones.
8. Prepare and implement site-specific management plans, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.

Requirements:

• Degree, HNC, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of CDM and health and safety regulations.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards; project management qualification is desirable.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influencing positive outcomes.
• Commercial skills with experience managing contracts, preferably NEC contracts.
• Highways or rail experience is advantageous.
