Role Overview:

The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all Contractors execute their tasks efficiently, organized, and safely. This role involves coordinating with Contractors before site visits, reviewing work plans, ensuring Permit to Work requirements are met, clarifying scope of work, and managing on-site resources such as scaffolding, cranes, and materials. The coordinator supervises daily activities, plans site operations, minimizes downtime, increases efficiency, and ensures deadlines are met to avoid additional costs.

Support from a remote centre of excellence will be available, providing technical, project management, and other support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contractor Management & Coordination: Lead meetings, optimize performance, reduce costs, and manage daily interfaces and support needs.
  • Supervision: Oversee daily site activities, ensuring HSSE standards, schedule, and quality compliance.
  • Work Package Development: Coordinate with supporting resources for package development, review, and communicate with Contractors. Hold quarterly meetings to discuss upcoming projects.
  • Design Coordination: Manage communication and technical queries between Contractors, EngCo’s design centre, and other stakeholders.
  • Contractor Performance: Work with site leadership and procurement teams to define requirements for safety, QA/QC, project controls, and invoicing.
  • Contracting Strategy: Assist in scope splitting, commercial structuring, and contractor evaluation.
  • HSSE & Quality: Coordinate Permit to Work processes and ensure safety and quality compliance.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and monitor performance objectives, ensuring timely reporting and issue resolution.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10-15 years in site construction supervision, asset management, or work pack engineering.
  • Trades accreditation and/or engineering degree.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated with stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in process improvements, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Asset management or maintenance/small project experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.
