Job summary

Munich Re Group is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to contribute to development and promotion of Munich Re Engineering and Construction products with a focus on construction liability. You will underwrite new and renewal business, handling cases end-to-end within guidelines to deliver trading strategy.

Work with intermediaries and customers to build strong relationships, provide technical underwriting expertise, manage portfolio quality and ensure high levels of customer service

Qualifications

• Underwriting knowledge of construction liability and portfolio management.
• Ability to interpret management information and market data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Understanding of local insurance market practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and promotion of Munich Re Engineering and Construction products with a focus on construction liability.
• Underwrite new and renewal business in line with underwriting guidelines and appetite.
• Work with intermediaries/customers to handle end-to-end cases for the allocated portfolio to support joint business plans.
• Make effective on-site decisions within delegated authority for allocated intermediaries.
• Deal with complex accounts, delivering tailored risk solutions and decisions.
• Plan and process own work to meet customer service and credit control targets.
• Assist in maintaining a balanced portfolio and supporting profitability via strategic contributions.
• Deliver technical presentations and act as a reference point for colleagues to ensure high service levels.
• Develop strong relationships with intermediaries and customers to balance trading growth.
