Job Title: Construction Lecturer

Location: London

Contract Type: Temporary, Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities Available

Hourly Rate: £42 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Construction Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across a range of construction-related subjects, helping students gain the practical and theoretical skills required for careers in the construction industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons in construction theory and practice
  • Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assessments in line with curriculum standards
  • Support and assess learners in achieving their qualifications
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment
  • Track and report on student progress, providing feedback and support where needed
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Construction or a related field
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
  • Industry experience within the construction sector
  • Strong organisational, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage and support a diverse range of learners

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching in a further education or vocational training setting
  • Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications (e.g., TAQA, A1, V1)
  • Knowledge of current industry standards and health & safety regulations
  • Experience delivering apprenticeships or work-based learning
