Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our Regional Build team. This role delivers expert health, safety and wellbeing advice to support the safe and successful delivery of construction projects across our regional operations.

You will collaborate with project teams, operational leaders and the wider HSWE function to drive a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation and standards, and continuously improve health, safety and wellbeing

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice.
• Member of IOSH or IIRSM.
• Significant construction industry experience, ideally with a principal contractor.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert health, safety and wellbeing advice to Tilbury Douglas project teams across the region.
• Undertake site inspections, audits and investigations; communicate findings and implement actions.
• Coach, mentor and support operational teams in H&S policies and procedures.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to promote best practice.
• Support training, incident investigations and regional initiatives to improve health, safety and wellbeing performance.
