Are you an experienced Construction Estimator looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a detail-driven and commercially minded professional to join our dynamic team in Essex.

About the Role

As a Construction Estimator, you\'ll play a key part in the successful delivery of our projects — from initial tender through to final handover. You\'ll prepare accurate cost estimates, analyse drawings and specifications, and liaise closely with clients, suppliers, and the project team. Working within public sector.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents
• Evaluate project requirements, drawings, and specifications
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Assess risks, value engineering options, and cost control measures
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure financial accuracy
• Contribute to project planning and budgeting
• Working within public sector
• Project values between £1m-£10m

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office (Excel essential)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (degree preffered)
