Job summary

NRL Group is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their Preconstruction Team in Sunderland. You will prepare detailed tenders, develop bills of quantities and schedules of rates, and work with the commercial team to deliver accurate, competitive bids.

Hybrid working and full-time hours are available. You will contribute to high-value projects and collaborate with internal teams to ensure governance and timely tender settlements, while applying strong numerical and analytical

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating within the construction sector.
• Strong understanding of tendering processes, cost planning and commercial principles.
• Experience producing bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with estimating software like Conquest.

Responsibilities

This role is ideal for someone with proven expertise in tendering, who thrives on delivering accurate and competitive bids. You’ll play a key part in shaping high-value projects and contributing to successful outcomes.

Location and Working Pattern

Sunderland, based, hybrid working negotiable. Full-time, approx. 40 hours per week.
