Job summary

The Hireman, a well-established independent tool hire company in London, is seeking a depot-based delivery driver. You will operate a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect construction equipment across London and surrounding areas.

Joining the team means ongoing training and the chance to advance into warehouse, workshop or office roles as you progress, with a strong track record of internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in construction, equipment, logistics, warehousing or similar.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a flexible approach.
• Confident, calm, and safe driver with a UK/EU licence (max 3 points).
• Enjoy active outdoor work and being part of a field-based team.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van around London to deliver equipment.
• Handle delivery and collection of construction gear.
• Process basic paperwork related to deliveries and returns.
• Build relationships with customers and provide good service.
• Learn about the range of equipment and the industry.
