Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support major construction projects and promote environmental best practice across operations. The role involves advising project teams, conducting site inspections, and helping ensure compliance with key environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in an environmental role, preferably within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Good understanding of environmental legislation, standards and industry best practice
• Experience carrying out site inspections and providing practical environmental support to operational teams

Responsibilities

• Providing environmental advice, guidance and support to project delivery teams across construction sites
• Carrying out environmental inspections, audits and monitoring activities, ensuring findings are communicated and actions implemented
• Supporting compliance with ISO14001, ISO50001 and environmental licences, permits and other regulatory requirements
• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of environmental documentation, including Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), waste management plans and environmental risk assessments
• Monitoring energy consumption and carbon performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and reducing environmental impact
• Supporting water pollution prevention measures and effective silt management on construction projects
• Contributing to sustainability initiatives and environmental awareness campaigns across the business
