At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping at Hinkley Point C, Somerset.

This role offers the chance to work with the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, focusing on the integration and delivery of main MEH, cabling, and support services for complex pipework and cabling installations.

The role

You will lead, manage, and motivate your team, ensuring best practices, continuous improvement, and compliance with nuclear safety standards.

• Drive Digital Enablement for Construction Progress: Lead the implementation of the Procon system for efficient workflows and real-time progress reporting.
• Ensure Compliance and Readiness for Site Activities: Manage interfaces with NNB’s Work Authorization and Permit systems.
• Coordinate Safe and Strategic Site Access: Plan safe access routes to workfaces.
• Support Precision Through Surveying and Data: Facilitate surveys for accurate construction planning.
• Own Documentation for Construction Milestones: Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with the project plan.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset.

Essential experience:

• Proven experience on large-scale, regulated infrastructure projects, with expertise in Safe Systems of Work.
• Effective operation at Engineer or Senior Engineer level within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• HNC qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience in installing Mechanical and Piping systems.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
