At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Construction Engineer - Mechanical Piping at Hinkley Point C nuclear project in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This opportunity involves working with the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, focusing on the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s rooms.

The role

You will lead, manage, and motivate the team, ensuring best practices, continuous improvement, and compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering Mechanical & Piping Construction Workpacks supporting the project schedule.
• Promoting a strong HSE culture throughout the construction lifecycle.

Additional duties include:

• Driving digital enablement for construction progress.
• Ensuring compliance with site activities and permits.
• Planning safe access routes.
• Supporting surveying and data collection.
• Managing documentation for construction milestones.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset.

Essential experience

• Proven experience on major, regulated construction projects.
• Effective operation at Engineer or Senior Engineer level.

Qualifications

• HNC qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience in Mechanical and Piping systems.

Security Clearance

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
