Job summary

Technical Engineering Support (TES) is an engineering company with 30+ years in coordinating tests and commissioning of industrial equipment. We seek a Construction Engineer HVAC (f/m) to lead discipline work packs and drive safe, compliant execution on MEH Alliance projects.

The role emphasizes leadership of CE’s/Leads, delivering work packs, and ensuring alignment with nuclear safety and site licence requirements throughout the construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• HVAC degree or trade qualifications with 5+ years’ experience.
• Professional accreditations in PM, Construction or Engineering are desirable.
• Eligible for security clearance (BPSS or higher).
• CCNSG Safety Passport.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
• Nuclear power experience preferred.
• Experience on major HVAC construction projects.
• Engineer/Senior Engineer level experience, includingJV work.

Responsibilities

• Lead, delegate and motivate CE’s/Works Coordination Leads.
• Deliver Construction Workpacks to support MEH Alliance activities.
• Coordinate safe access routing and topographical surveying for MEH Alliance works.
• Ensure documents meet latest information and are reviewed regularly.
• Drive HSE leadership and compliance throughout construction lifecycle.

Technical Engineering Support (TES)

Technical Engineering Support (TES) is an engineering company created over 30 years ago, specializing in the coordination of tests and industrial commissioning. TES also supports its customers in participating in studies and coordinating the assembly of industrial equipment.

As part of our activity, we have a position to fill as Construction Engineer HVAC (f/m).

Accountabilities:

1. Delegation of responsibilities to CE’s/Works Coordination Leads. Lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice.
2. 2. Ultimately accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the MEH construction activities
3. 3. Define boundary of scope of works
4. 4. Liaising with necessary SME’s and client counterparts
5. 5. Ensuring documents are compliant with latest works information and other MEH documentation
6. 6. Ensure documents are kept up-to-date and reviewed on a minimum 6 monthly basis
7. 7. Ownership and driving of deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status >90% first time accepted criteria
8. 8. Prioritisation and ownershipof documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan. E.g. T-3 months accepted prior to works
9. 9. Support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures
10. 10. Directly report to the Building Manager or nominated deputy.
11. 11. Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
12. 12. Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements
13. 13. Review and feedback on suitability of level of resource to effectively run the support function

Deliverables :

1. Deliver Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme
2. Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance
3. Enable the requesting and compliance of the MEH Alliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB
4. Enable the co-ordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction works
5. Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support the MEH Alliance construction works

Specify degree or other HVAC Trade qualifications supported by 5+ years’ proven experience

Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)

Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)

CCNSG Safety Passport

IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH

Proven track record in nuclear power preferred

Proven track record of working in highly regulated industry sector preferred, e.g. Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Marine etc.

Experience working on major construction projects within all aspects of HVAC

Experienced in delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
