I am working with a respected design & build contractor known for delivering high-quality residential, student accommodation, and commercial developments across London and the South East. As their pipeline grows, they’re looking to add a Drafting Technician to their in-house design team. What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Creating accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD (or similar software)
2. Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to translate design concepts into build-ready plans
3. Supporting project documentation, including revisions, updates, and construction issue drawings
4. Ensuring all designs comply with current building regulations and standards
5. Coordinating with on-site teams and subcontractors for seamless design-to-construction transitions

What You’ll Need:

1. Previous experience in a drafting or CAD technician role (construction sector)
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with construction drawings and detailing
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team
4. Attention to detail and a solid understanding of UK building regulations
