Construction Disputes Knowledge Development Lawyer | 5+ PQE | Global Law Firm | Full Time | Hybrid Working

BCL Legal is pleased to be partnering with a leading international law firm in its search for a Knowledge Development Lawyer to support its Global Construction Disputes Practice. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working and a collaborative, future-focused environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction disputes lawyer to step into a strategic, non-fee-earning position within a highly regarded global litigation and regulatory group. Prior PSL/Knowledge experience is welcomed but not essential-applications are also encouraged from experienced fee earners looking to transition into a knowledge-focused role.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders, this Knowledge Development Lawyer will play a key role in supporting both the UK and international Construction Disputes teams, contributing to strategic growth and driving innovation in legal service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
· Designing and delivering regular internal training programmes, including junior and whole-team sessions.
· Drafting, maintaining, and developing high-quality knowledge materials and resources, including precedents, guidance notes, and case law updates.
· Assisting with complex legal queries and offering technical support to fee earners.
· Supporting global initiatives such as client-facing newsletters, conferences, training sessions, and thought leadership content.
· Collaborating across teams including Real Estate, Planning, Projects and Knowledge/Innovation functions.
· Working with internal innovation teams to enhance process efficiency, including use of generative AI and legal tech tools.
· Liaising with barristers, external experts, and professional organisations to remain at the forefront of legal developments.
· Maintaining the Construction Disputes library and knowledge platforms, and supporting business development efforts.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
· At least 5 years' PQE in contentious construction law, ideally with experience in arbitration and large-scale international disputes.
· Strong technical legal knowledge and practical experience across a broad range of construction disputes.
· A proactive and strategic mindset, with a genuine interest in legal innovation and process improvement.
· Excellent drafting, training delivery, and communication skills.
· The ability to collaborate effectively across jurisdictions and teams, offering insight and leadership within a global legal business.
· Experience developing legal resources and delivering training programmes (preferred but not essential).
· A commercial and client-focused approach, with the ability to support business development and knowledge strategy.
