The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to take a pivotal role in the successful execution of a large-scale capital project with a value in excess of £500 million. You will be instrumental in leading the construction phase, ensuring alignment with project objectives, regulatory compliance, and safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the construction of a major infrastructure project from planning through execution.
Provide strategic guidance to the Project Director, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulations.
Champion and implement the Construction Quality Management System throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive coordination across all disciplines and ensure construction activities are aligned with project milestones and deliverables.
Develop and maintain a project-wide Sustainability Program, integrating subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring the highest HSE standards are upheld across all site activities.
Facilitate effective collaboration between contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
Proven track record delivering large-scale projects with budgets exceeding £500 million.
Extensive experience in sectors such as construction, chemical, petrochemical, mining, rail, refinery, or nuclear.
Strong knowledge of UK construction legislation, permitting, and regulatory frameworks.
Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
A strategic leader with outstanding communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
