About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes is one of the newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.

Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.

In both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Amentum are seeking a CDM Lead to plan and carry out assurance of compliance with the Construction, Design and Management (CDM Regulations 2015) across our project portfolio. You'll provide leadership and undertake assurance of CDM 2015 throughout the lifecycle of projects. Ideally you will have extensive experience in CDM, Design Risk Management and health and safety within complex, large-scale construction projects, particularly in regulated, infrastructure or similar markets.

Here's What You'll Need

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered status (or working towards it) with a relevant professional body (e.g., CMIOSH, CMaPS).
  • Experience in managing CDM and health & safety in complex, high-risk projects, preferably in regualted environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 with the ability to deliver CDM assurance on large-scale projects.
  • Good leadership and communication skills and an ability to influence at all levels.
  • Collaborative approach working with multiple stakeholders, including designers, contractors and project management teams.
  • Experience with CDM Assurance tools, Design Risk Management and safety reporting systems, specifically within a large-scale, regulated construction environment.
