Job Description:

Legal.io is working with a leading technology company seeking a Construction Counsel for data center projects in EMEA on a one-year contract. The position is 32-40 hours per week, remote, with potential office visits in Dublin, London, or Madrid.

Scope of Work

Title: Construction Counsel, EMEA (Secondment)

Experience: 5+ Years

Location: Remote (Dublin, Ireland; London, UK; Madrid, Spain)

Duration: 12 Months (July 2025 - July 2026)

Pay Rate: $90 - $110/hr

Overview

• Support large-scale data center construction projects across EMEA.
• Provide guidance to business teams and streamline legal processes.
• Work independently with oversight from in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a legal contact for regional EPC teams on construction legal inquiries.
• Advise on and resolve construction issues and claims, including contract interpretation.
• Negotiate construction and A/E contracts.
• Manage regional construction outside counsel.
• Participate in legal construction training.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years advising on construction issues at a top law firm or in-house, with experience negotiating contracts and handling claims.
• Private practice experience of 5+ years.
• In-house construction experience preferred.
• Active law license, fluency in English, experience with data center infrastructure preferred.
