Are you an experienced Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Director looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have experience managing multiple projects valued between 1 million and 15 million pounds with a main contractor across sectors such as commercial, residential, and accommodation? Thatcher Associates is assisting an established developer specializing in commercial and multi-storey residential projects. The company is building its own in-house construction team and operates throughout Devon, Somerset, and surrounding areas. Known for delivering complex, high-quality schemes, they offer an opportunity to join as an Operations/Contracts Manager with potential progression to Construction Director. The company values a collaborative management team, and they seek an accomplished Contracts Manager who enjoys leading from the front within a team environment.

About the Role

As Contracts Manager/Operations Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of projects across Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and nearby areas. You will be directly responsible for multiple site teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.

About You

You will be an established Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Project Manager with experience managing multiple projects. You should be comfortable liaising directly with clients to ensure their satisfaction and project requirements are met throughout the build process.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects for a leading main contractor with an excellent track record
• Demonstrate strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification such as HND or NVQ Level 6 (CIOB status desirable)
• Experience managing large or multiple teams
• Conduct team meetings effectively
• Be client-facing when required
• Maintain a deep knowledge of Health & Safety policies and ensure their implementation on all sites
• Hold valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certificates
