Are you an experienced Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Director looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have experience managing multiple projects valued between £1 million and £15 million with a main contractor across sectors such as commercial, residential, and accommodation? If so, we may have the role for you.

About the Company

Thatcher Associates is assisting an established developer specializing in commercial and multi-storey residential projects. They are looking to build their own in-house construction company.

Operating throughout Devon, Somerset, and surrounding areas, with a reputation for delivering complex, high-quality schemes, this opportunity allows you to join the business as an Operations/Contracts Manager with potential to progress to a Construction Director role. The company has a close-knit management team, and we are seeking an accomplished Contracts Manager who enjoys leading within a team environment.

About the Role

As Contracts Manager/Operations Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of projects across Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and nearby areas. You will have direct responsibility for multiple site teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

About You

You will be an established Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Project Manager with experience managing multiple projects. You should be comfortable liaising directly with clients to ensure their satisfaction and project requirements are met throughout the build.

You will:

• Have an excellent track record managing projects for a leading main contractor
• Possess strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Be educated to degree level or hold a similar qualification such as HND or NVQ Level 6 (CIOB status is desirable)
• Have experience managing large or multiple teams
• Be experienced in conducting team meetings
• Be willing to engage with clients when required
• Have a deep knowledge of Health & Safety policies and ensure their implementation on all sites
• Hold valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certificates
