Construction Consultancy Project Manager (Client Side)

Location: Based from our offices in Sheffield or Manchester, M2 3AZ

Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits

Contract: Full time, permanent. 37.5 hour working week; Monday to Friday.

To succeed in this role, you must be an experienced Project Manager with a background in the construction industry and consultancy and/or client experience.

We are Monaghans Ltd, providing best-in-class multi-disciplinary building consultancy services, delivering quality professional expertise and advice across the UK and internationally. Our offices are located in London, Sheffield, Manchester, and Leeds. Our core services include cost management, project management, programme management, building surveying, and health and safety consultancy across various construction sectors.

We are part of Trebbi, a unique structure of businesses sharing a common vision, mission, and values, offering consultancy, engineering, and design services within the built environment.

As our Construction Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Day-to-day project delivery.
  2. Managing design teams and developing solutions.
  3. Managing accounts at an account executive level, including client liaison and internal team management.
  4. Contract administration.
  5. Developing and utilizing key project documents and processes.
  6. Providing upward reporting to meet client expectations.
  7. Using sector knowledge to exceed client expectations.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • A degree in construction management or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong project management knowledge across pre- and post-construction phases.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience in the construction sector, especially retail, leisure, or commercial sectors.
  • Experience in administration of construction contracts.
  • Experience working within a consultancy or client organization.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to operate effectively within multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Constructive challenge and delivery of client-led targets.
  • Clear articulation of project needs per scheme.
  • Proactive contribution to value management and engineering studies.
  • Ability to deliver work within set timeframes.
  • Commitment, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
  • Team-oriented with a flexible approach.
  • Energetic and self-motivated.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
