Wates Smartspace invites applications for a Surveyor Trainee programme, offering hands-on experience in the commercial management of construction projects. You will develop skills in project costing, procurement, reporting and risk management while working with experienced teams across sites.

The programme combines on-the-job training with a construction apprenticeship, supported by mentoring, structured training and pathways to chartership where applicable.

Competenze

• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Two A-Levels at grade D or above or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Mansioni

• Support the commercial management of projects, monitoring costs, budgets and performance.
• Assist in preparation, analysis and reporting of commercial data for stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of forecasting, cash flow management and risk assessment.
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including tender documentation and evaluations.
• Assist with administration and management of subcontractor accounts, including valuations and payments.
• Help maintain financial and contractual position by understanding contracts and progress.
