R_299433 Construction Client Executive/Broker

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction team at Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

A market leading specialty business servicing all aspects of the construction and infrastructure sector both in the UK and overseas, focusing on North American Wholesale business.

Our client base includes major construction and development companies as well as large industrial groups and property investors in the US and Canada who require wholesale capacity for their major construction projects.

We will count on you to:

Work with clients and colleagues to meet every facet of our clients/projects insurance needs, the task will vary greatly but could include:

Pre-binding:
  1. Provide technical insurance advice on a wide variety of challenges that face our clients daily
  2. Manage budgeting and preparation of underwriting submissions
  3. Develop program structures and craft policy terms

Place business:
  1. Planning broking strategy with clients or network offices and broke in the UK and International markets (in conjunction with our market leading broking team) to attain lead terms and/or support to lead terms
  2. Review and Issue documentation including agreed wordings, placing slips, endorsements, insurance manuals and minutes of meetings
  3. Place facility business directly with the market and execute wider portfolio strategy

New Business:
  1. Identify new business opportunities
  2. Secure new business in conjunction with our local offices and wider networks

What you need to have:
  1. Handling/broking experience with Construction Clients or large corporate clients
  2. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
  3. Excellent communication skills and confidence to develop strong relationships with senior level client and internal contact points
  4. Technical competence in CAR/TPL/DSU classes of insurance
