About Us: LNT Care Developments is the UK's leading purpose-built residential care home developer and constructor. With over 30 years of innovation within our vertically integrated model, we have perfected care home designs. LNT Construction Limited, part of LNT Care Developments, is looking for experienced plumbers to join our site teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Support buying teams with purchasing supplies, materials, and plant for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  2. Process material and plant requisitions promptly and place orders with approved suppliers.
  3. Obtain quotes, analyze, and negotiate prices with suppliers.
  4. Expedite orders and track outstanding deliveries.
  5. Manage hiring and off-hiring of plant equipment.
  6. Coordinate with the commercial team on material costs and lead times.
  7. Work with site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  8. Identify and assess potential suppliers; negotiate competitive rates.
  9. Maintain procurement system and approve relevant invoices.
  10. Take ownership of workplace equipment, tools, and property issued by LNT Construction; ensure they are functional and in good condition.
  11. Report any faults or defects immediately to your line manager.
  12. Adhere to LNT Construction policies, procedures, and company values: Innovate & Lead, Collaborate & Support, Aim Higher, and Open & Honest.
  13. Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Previous experience in buying or selling within the construction industry.
  • Ability to work well with management and staff.
  • Ambitious and proactive to develop the role.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of SAGE 200.
  • Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Effective communication with different levels of organisation both internally and externally.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
Working Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm in the office.

Salary:

£35,000 – £40,000 per annum.
