Job summary

Interaction Engineering, based in Livingston, West Lothian, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the construction sector. The role focuses on developing new opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

The position offers hybrid working arrangements, a competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum, and benefits including car allowance, fuel card, company mobile and laptop, plus 28 days holiday and clear career progression paths.

Qualifications

Experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role.
Construction industry experience is desirable.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to generate and convert sales opportunities.
Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the construction sector.
Generate, manage and follow up sales leads.
Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
Promote the company's services to public and private sector clients.
Work closely with estimating and operations teams to support tender opportunities.
Monitor market trends and identify potential projects and clients.
Achieve agreed business development and sales targets.
Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management.
