Orton Group is seeking a skilled Bid Writer in Wolverhampton to craft compelling bid documents and manage multiple proposals to deadlines. You will work with project managers and technical teams to gather information, proofread thoroughly, and deliver clear, persuasive submissions that meet client specifications.

The role requires 3+ years in bid writing within construction, strong attention to detail, and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bid writing or proposal development within the construction industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive language.
• Strong proofreading skills to ensure error-free documents before submission.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and technical concepts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive bid proposals in response to client requests, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and technical teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
• Proofread all bid documents thoroughly to eliminate errors and ensure consistency in tone, style, and formatting.
• Prepare well-structured documents that are professional and easy to navigate.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet strict submission deadlines.
• Maintain a library of templates, standard responses, and past proposals for efficient bid preparation.
• Search portals for suitable opportunities.
• Deliver PQQs and RFIs and manage the process from identification to post-submission.
• Support the team in presentations.
• Ensure portals are kept up to date.
• Analyse and record feedback on won and lost SQs, PQQs and tenders.
• Update Tender logs as required.
