Job summary

MostonRECRUIT is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager in Birmingham to provide specialist constructability assurance across major civil engineering works. You will work with project teams to ensure safe, well planned delivery, and adherence to standards.

The role focuses on risk-based constructability advice, NEC3 contract familiarity, CDM compliance, and site-based assurance activities, with a strong emphasis on environment, quality and stakeholder management on a major infrastructure

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 contracts and supervisor responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of UK construction legislation, including CDM.
• Experience in construction risk management and planning.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Location: Birmingham | High level of site presence required

Are you an experienced construction professional with a strong civil engineering background and a passion for delivering safe, high-quality infrastructure?

We’re looking for a Construction Assurance Manager (CAM) to provide specialist constructability expertise and assurance across major civil engineering works in Birmingham.

Working closely with project management, QHSSE, stakeholders, contractors and delivery teams, you’ll help ensure construction activities are safe, compliant, well planned and successfully delivered.

The role

You’ll support the Senior Construction Assurance Manager by:

• Providing risk-based constructability assurance and specialist construction advice.
• Supporting Project Managers and NEC3 Supervisors in their contractual responsibilities.
• Undertaking site safety tours and supporting site-based assurance activities.
• Identifying, assessing and managing construction and delivery risks.
• Supporting CDM assurance and hold-point release.
• Managing cross-contract interfaces from a constructability perspective.
• Ensuring works meet environmental, quality, safety and construction standards.
• Promoting Equality, Diversity & Inclusion across the project.

About you

You’ll have significant experience delivering large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally across areas such as earthworks, bridges, structures and ground engineering.

You’ll also bring:

• Strong knowledge of NEC3 contracts and Supervisor responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of UK construction legislation, including CDM.
• Experience in construction risk management and planning.
• Strong site-based health, safety and environmental knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
