Construction Senior Associate Solicitor – Oxford

Join one of the UK’s top full-service law firms with offices in Thames Valley, London and across the South East. This firm is widely recognised for delivering commercially driven legal advice to clients ranging from regional businesses to major and international organisations.

It is now seeking a Construction Associate Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its Oxford office, handling a broad caseload of both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Solicitor to work on high-value, complex construction work in a supportive and well-established team.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Dispute Resolution: Handle construction disputes through litigation, arbitration, adjudication and alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
  • Contractual Work: Draft and negotiate construction contracts, development agreements, professional appointments, collateral warranties and security documents
  • Procurement Advisory: Advise clients on procurement strategies, risk management and compliance with industry standards
  • Standard Form Contracts: Use and advise on JCT, NEC and FIDIC standard form contracts


Client Base Includes:


  • Major and regional developers
  • Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Construction professionals and consultants
  • Local authorities, educational institutions and funders


Your Profile:


  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years’ PQE in construction law
  • Solid experience with both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Skilled in working with standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
  • A confident communicator and team player
  • Background in a commercial or specialist construction practice
