Job summary

Chadwick Nott is currently representing a fast-growing City law firm in London seeking a Construction Associate at NQ-4 PQE level. The role focuses on non-contentious construction work with exposure to occasional contentious matters within a strong real estate and construction practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience with JCT/NEC contracts, DD support, and an interest in developing expertise across collateral warranties, sub contracts, and dispute avoidance.

Qualifications

• NQ-4 PQE with dedicated construction seat preferred.
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction is desirable.
• Permanent, full-time position in City of London.

Responsibilities

• Handle primarily non-contentious construction matters with some contentious work.
• Assist with JCT and NEC contracts, and FIDIC where applicable.
• Provide DD support for projects.
• Manage collateral warranties, professional and consultant appointments and sub contracts.
• Participate in dispute avoidance strategies.
• Engage in contentious construction, including TCC proceedings, arbitration, litigation, and adjudication.
